Upgrade to a TP100 snare

Upgrade to a TP100 snare

2008-07-25 by alunken

Have just upgraded my snare as above, which works fine except for when
I play along with the inbuilt music tracks and use the small rimshot
(click sound). After a short time the pad ceases to work if I combine
clickshots with normal snare shots?
Can anyone make any suggestions please.

I am not sure what you mean by a click sound - do you mean the cross-stick sound? I use the TP100 and haven't had any problems, although I don't use the built in songs.

Does the pad stop making any sound, even when you hit the main pad area?

Keith.

Yes the cross-stick sound, and the pad completely ceases to work. There appears to be no problem at any other time.

Alun.

Alun,

The only thing I can think of is a faulty pad. The rim shouldn't be able to stop it working, even if the rim switch is held down.

I am sometimes suspicous of the red knob. Very occasionally I have had to twiddle it after transporting it to get it to work properly.

Your description implies a link with the module playing songs, but I cannot see how there can be a link. Are you sure they are linked?

You could try swapping the cable and trying it in another input (although your choice of 3 zone inputs is limited).

Keith.
