Help Mapping DTXIIIsp

2007-10-28 by guitarnine76

Hello All,

I'm new here.....I am currently trying to Map my DTXpressIII special
kit to tontrack ezdrummer (vst plugin in sonar 6.0) so that i can
trigger the samples, i can get the DTX
to communicate via midi with ezdrummer, but i'm having a hard time
mapping it so the correct sample is triggered when the corresponding
pad its hit. (i.e.-snare triggers snare sample, hi-hat triggers hi hat
sample)anyone here been through this using ezdrummer? can anyone help
me out?

Thanks,
Joe

Open EZ drummer click the ? mark icon on the right upper corner above
the drum cases. You will see a list pop up. scroll to the kit you are
using. Another tab will open with the choices of (description / Midi
layout) Click Midi layout. It will show you the note value of the keys
that correspond to a sound. I use Superior Drummer as well as EZ.
Superior is much easier to train for a kit. I would recommend upgrading
to SP 2.0. Way more options and better dynamics. Also tons more sounds.
I hope this helped out. If not perhaps I can help you resolve it with
more info of what problems you are tunning into.

thanks again and Good Luck with your E Drumming

In response to EZ drummer. does it work? I use it everyday. It works
beyond what they say it does. I recorded many times using EZ drummer and
Superior Drummer 2.0. I have some recordings done with Both VSt's posted
on my myspace site. Check them out: www.myspace.com/1hotdrummer

They are in my music player located on the left side. Let me know what
you think of the sounds I got from them. Very little production was done
on the Drum sounds. I added a little Reverb and some compression to the
kits. I also have many tricks on recording with SP 2.0. I break each
drum midi track up to it's own track so it comes out like an analog set
of of Kick and Channel Snare channel 2 and so forth. I recorded all the
drum tracks using EZ Drummer, Superior Drummer 2.0 with Ableton Live 6
and 8.
