Need some help with DTXtreme IIs

Need some help with DTXtreme IIs

2007-08-20 by Gunthor71

I have the DTXtreme IIs with the snare drum pad TP120SP.
I have found that if I am playing real hard on the bass pad that i find
the snare will not play. I have set the self Reject set to 10MS and
Reject set to 0.
I need the snare to play every time.

Thanks for any help.
James

James,

You might get more specific advice on the DTXtreme group
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/DTXtreme/

Is the problem when you hit the kick pad hard, or when the volume is
loud? I know people can get problems when playing in live situations
at a high volume. Is the snare on a stand or on the rack? Have you
tried reducing the self reject parameter?

Keith.

Is the problem when you hit the kick pad hard -- Yes it is when i am
play the bass very hard and fast.
or when the volume is loud? --- No the volume is not loud.
I know people can get problems when playing in live situations
at a high volume.-- we are live and it only happens when we play our
up beat songs.
Is the snare on a stand or on the rack? --- Stand
Have you tried reducing the self reject parameter? Yes, is it best to
be a 5MS or say 150MS?

It only happens when we play up beat songs. But it is driving me
crazy.

I would suggest 5ms, but try asking on the DTXtreme forum. If it is
only when you are live it is possible that it is an acoustic feedback
from the PA speaker. It may help to re-position speakers so they are
pointing away from you.
