Hello from a new member.

Hi, all.

If anyone here checks the DTXperience forums, I've been active
there for a few months, my name is Phill Cohen. I have an odd sense
of humor, way too much time on my hands, and way too little time on
my hands. And of course too little money, like everyone.

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through a project that involves the
following:

An open mind.

A DT4PU - that being the module from a DTXpress kit.

An OSP DD-502 Digital Drum kit, for rack and pads. I like the
acoustic pads, especially with high tension. They feel responsive to
me and don't seem to make any more stick noise than a Yamaha cymbal
pad.

A PCY130SC 3-zone cymbal pad plugged into the SNARE port, and two
PCY150S 3-zone pads plugged into the Crash and Ride ports - giving me
a total of 9 different chokeable zones.

A BP80 - old Yamaha dual piezo trigger bar pad, which will in part
serve as my snare rim for rimshots.

A bunch of splitters from Drumbalaya.com :)

A curiousity to see if I can still finagle control over snare tension
with a cymbal in the Snare port. I doubt it can be done, but that's
okay with me.

So hi, and I look forward to talking with you all.

Hi again Phill.

You have come to the right place for the DTXpress IV, although not
many people have them on this group yet. I quite fancy a DTX4 myself,
but there are other things I would like first - like some decent
drumming skills and a new drum teacher.

There are still quite a lot of people with the original DTXpress here.
I have the DTXpress III, TP100S and a Pintech Concertcast. When I
get chance I will take my TP100S apart and see how they produce the
unusual waveforms. Now that the DTX4 is more like a DTXtreme, I ought
to put the waveforms on here as well.

Keith.
