Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I'm looking at using one of these to trigger sounds in Drums From Hell Superior software.
Can anyone on the list testify to a triggering speed advantage via midi of the DTXpress 
module versus the Roland TD-3 module?  Or for that matter, how the DTXpress (V1) 
compares to the TD-3?

I'm not quite sure what you mean here...

If you connect one of these kits via midi to your computer and want to
to trigger the sounds of dfhs, this is done through asio.
It depends on your sound device(soundcard or midi card)drivers if you
get a low latency.
I get 5ms with my dtxpress 2 and soundblaster live using the asio4all
driver

For practice I use the Logitech Z2300.  I wouldn't gig with it, but
with 200W it takes some beating for the money.  The Behringer KX1200
seems popular as well.
