Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Has anyone else had any trouble with the threads wearing down on the bolts that clamp the pads in2 place ?
Virtually all of mine have either jammed or worn away within 6 months !

Yeah,
I wrenched down on my snare pad clamp and now it is on its way out. the bolt is hard to turn and is just a few readjustments from striping completely. I wonder what Yamaha charges for a new turn knob and nut?

Had the same problem!
Oh well try wing nut screws to replace them thats what I'm going to do..

I had the same problem with one pad clamp after 4 months of use.  I 
was tearing kit down 4 times a week for church play and re-assembly 
at home.  Went to Mars Music where I purchased the kit and they 
ordered a new clamp for me.  However, they gave me great advice.  
When removing pads, just undo clamp under pad, not the clamp that 
holds the pad arm.  I should have known that.  Since then, no 
problems since I pad angles and placements don't change for me.
