Hi fad,

I've recorded with my DTXpress kit in different ways to my computer.
Mostly I use my 1/4" L/R Stereo Audio Outputs of the DTXpress into
my Aardvark Q10 audio card. I've also used regular midi cables into
the midi IN/OUT of my Q10 (though you can use a stand alone midi
interface). I also use the 'To Host' directly from my DTXpress to my
computers connections on the motherboard. I pprefer this because
it's only 'one' cable for midi in/out and it free's up my midi
connections for say my keyboard. What I DON'T know is the regular
midi VS To Host Pro's & Cons, though To Host works great for me:)

As for recording software I own Cubase & Cakewalk. Both are very
good and you can't go wrong with either one, but I prefer and use
Cubase software. I suggest you go to the Steinberg/Cubase & CakeWalk
web sites and download their FREE trail versions and decide for
yourself which interface you prefer. If on a budget, have a look on
ebay for some used and less recent versions.

Steve

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
