Digital Line Out??

Digital Line Out??

2004-10-13 by Jay

Is it possible, in any way, to connect the DTXpressII out to an S/PDIF
digital-in connection? Possibly by using a converter or anything. Is
this feasible?

Thanks!

Well, you'd need an A/D converter. I'm willing to bet that you can't
find one that doesn't cost at least as much as the module, and I
don't know whether any of them accepts 1/4" stereo cables. I remember
only XLRs. But who knows?

As the Yamaha DTXpress will generate its signals in a way that
probably doesn't remotely resemble S/PDIF, the only way would be with
an analogue to S/PDIF converter eg:

However, anything you want to record with will have an analogue input
anyway, so I am not sure what the point would be.

Keith.
