Greetings: I have to tell you that by using a headphone amp, it really helps to bring out the sound quality, especially with the cymbals. I own a dtxpress 1, and am very satisfied with what it can do. I do agree that if you are comparing a high end acoustic set to these e-drums, then you proberbly should not own one, except for practice.
