Nick,

I had the same thought - and discovered that the power supply in my 
10 yr old daughter's Yamaha keyboard is the same as the Dtxpress - 
you can get them from Argos I think much more cheaply than from 
Yamaha.

Reassuringly I've never had a failure in 4 years - and the Dtxpress 
Mk1 itself has never been any bother either.  However the power 
supply to my daughter's keyboard did fail and we replaced it with 
one from Argos.  So it's a wise precaution.
