Of course, after a couple of Stellas I promptly had a crisis of 
confidence and went and tried it out. B*gger me if I can't get the 
Yamaha pad onto the Pintech L-rod. It just doesn't fit onto the rod.

I don't know what possessed me. Excuse me, I'll just pop off and 
beat myself to death with a velcro cable tie...
