The first-ever DTXpress Group Convention took place on February 27-28 in Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA. Representatives came from two countries. Various products from Yamaha, Pintech, ddrum, Visu-lite, Drum Tech, Pearl, Axis, and others were on hand for attendees to audition. Milk and beer spilled profusely throughout the ceremonies, thankfully with little crying. Entertainment was provided by the Norfolk Mime and Ballet Troupe as well as the jazz outfit Weather Report , which reunited specifically for the occasion. In the words of British member Stewart Manley, "There's nothing like a well-planned, lavish event to bring cheer to the heart, and this is nothing like a well-planned, lavish event." Mr Manley is renowned throughout the DTXpress community for his ready wit. Building on this year's success, the group is hoping to draw an unprecedented three members when next convened. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Get better spam protection with Yahoo!
