Jay, Once in a while if you whack these things to kingdom come, you apparently can upset the elements inside the cymbal. Take a look at OGD's dissected PCY80S cymbal (even if yours is a 65S) in the photos section to see what's inside. If you're lucky, something is loose that you can re-solder. Sometimes you can't see solder damage too easily. If you're handy with an iron you could re-solder everything in sight. If all else within reason fails, you could go spend a buck at Radio Shack for a new piezo and simply wire it to the jack like the old one. I'm assuming that you're out of warranty and have nothing to lose. I'm also assuming that you can take one of these things apart and get it back together again. Ed
