No, that was pure luck I'm afraid. No current Yamaha module has dual-
piezo snare inputs. It will have been simple good fortune that the 
rim strike generated a signal whose shape was "seen" by the module 
as if it was a switch transition at exactly the same time as it 
picked up a main pad strike, which is how the rim switch works. You 
can't rely on that being consistent.
