It's nothing to do with the age of the module. The Pintech is a dual-
piezo pad - one for head, one for rim - but the Yamaha inputs 1 
through 8 are stereo, with one piezo for the pad and a switch for 
the rim. You can either plug the pad into #2 and split the rim out 
to 9 or 10 (which has the benefit that the stock kits will basically 
work ok) or just split it into 9/10.
