I have switched off the DTXpress timing sync so VST now receives midi information ok. However, the snare and kick drum send unexpected note values ie E7 when E1 would have been better. Hence the snare and kick don't play back on the PCs own internal Yamaha DB50 synth board but all the other notes do. Strangely, if you check the midi output with a Studiomaster midi analyser you get the error LED lit. VST receives all the midi intact but just these strange snare and kick notes are annoying.
