Hi OGD,

Gotcha: the input capabilities are hard-wired (although I could've 
sworn the DTXTreme had selectable pad types....)

The Roland TD's inputs are hard-wired, too: changing pad types 
primarily causes some trigger settings to revert to default 
values.  This is done simply as an aid for those learning to 
adjust trigger settings.
