>I've also not been able >to sync the click track with recorded midi - any ideas? > > Mike Mike I have been able to sync the click track with most songs. I have made the following settings to do this. (some of these settings don't apply to the sync track, but I know this configuration works) In the Utility mode: Midi Control = ON Sync = Auto Use Tempo = Song Click Mode = Manual Recording Process You need to know the actual tempo and beat of the song. P 34 in the manual I've been using "MidiSoft Studio for Windows" (Shareware) to play the midi files. When the song is opened it shows the actual tempo. The beat is the time signature, in the first measure of the song. So if I want to record a song with a tempo of 78 and a 4/4 beat: - After pressing Shift + Start on the DTXpress module set the tempo to 78, the default beat of 4/4 is good. - Press the click button (should be blinking) - Press Start to begin recording. - Start playing the song on the pc. You know if the click is synced right if the 2 lights blink each time the measure counter on the DTXpress display is incremented while recording. Hope this helps - Bill PS: This discussion group is great - I just found it and have solved the ride-cymbal volume problem and learned about setting 2 voices for each pad for better sound - Thanks a lot !
