Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I think talking to the neighbors was a good idea (as I wrote in an 
earlier post my downstairs neighbors were banging on the roof as a 
protest to my playing - but curiously enough didn't admit it the next 
day and seemed very co-operative :)). 

Rick, at least here in Finland (maybe not to the same extent in 
Sweden) people often treat their neighbors as complete strangers who 
sometimes don't even deserve a hello (or rather, people don't want 
to "intrude" into other people's lives by speaking too much to people 
they don't know well - in fact it's even considered polite and 
respectful). So against this background it was a bit unpleasant to go 
talk to them. People will always be nagging behind your back anyway - 
as in your case the unknown complainer who went straight to the 
landlord.

Musicians have the right to practise in their apartments. My friend 
told me there is even a law or something in Finland that allows you 
to practise your instrument up until 8 pm. Of course, pissed-off 
neighbors will always find an excuse to throw you out of your rented 
apartment if they really want to :(.
