I'm well behind the times, and have much catching up to do. But I'm mightily impressed with all the information that's been posted, not to mention all the humor. At the risk of making a mountain out of a molehill, in defense of Brian's post, not long ago someone posted a question about the Hart Prodigy kit relative to the rubber pads of the DTXpress. I tried to warn him that the Prodigy might not be the best cost-effective alternative to the Yamaha stock kit; he bought it anyway. So I started the whole thing. Hart makes some wonderful equipment, but the Prodigy setup doesn't make the cut. Hatchet jobs on it aren't uncommon; it ain't inexpensive for nothing. Though advertising per se may not be appropriate at this site, Brian didn't overstep the bounds. No one person's word on this site should be regarded automatically as either gospel or bunkum. Presumably we're all big enough boys and girls to tell the wheat from the chaff ourselves. I'm probably preaching to the choir and should start shutting up right about now. I just want to make sure that Brian doesn't get the idea that his views, jokes, and helpful hints aren't welcome; they are, eminently. That said, I'm glad to find that the review of the Pintech hi hat is officially on the docket (that is, if Stephen really did email Brian) and eager to read the results. Okay, I have some work to do to get up to speed with the rest of you. Ed
