rim shot and cross stick

2003-08-10 by apolt.rm

Hi,

I am slightly experienced drummmer but not so knowledgeable on
electronics and the DTX v.2 which I bought recently. My main problem
is about rim shot and cross stick sounds. I can not take them off
from the set any longer. Every part of tp65s responses in the same
way like I hit in the middle of it. I have not done anything on the
original set up and it's been working fine since I bought it - 2
months- except this newly appeared problem. What do all guys think
about that? Could something be damaged in it?

Regards

Gökhan

* I only came across to the message below and tried to apply
instructions and failed as there is no response on the rim.

The snare needs a stereo cable.
The trigger needs to be set to a TP65-1 (the TP65 is for the single
zone
pads, the TP65-1 is for the three zone pad.)
When you go into edit voice, tap the center of the pad, menu should
say
"snare", when you tap one side of the rim the menu should say "snare-
r1"
(rim 1) and when you tap the other side rim, the menu should
say "snare r2"
(rim 2). Once you get those to appear on the menu, just scroll down
and
select the voice you like. For example:

snare = S\001 loosy (the pad sound) ; snare r1= S\002 LoosyRim (the
rim
shot); snare r2= S\109 s sstck1 (cross stick)
