Wow! Once again I am humbled to be amongst such fine, helpful 
company. Brian, I am very grateful. I feel honour-bound to point out 
to you, in case you missed it earlier in the thread, that this is a 
used pad purchased through eBay. It is entirely possible it's not in 
the best of health (though it is almost pristine externally). I 
would feel very guilty if you went to an inordinate amount of effort 
over a this under those circumstances.
