MIDI Recording

Hi All,

Anyone know if it's possible to record different instruments onto 
different MIDI tracks (so for example, I've got the kick on track 1, 
snare on 2, toms on 3)?  
I guess this isn't possible with DTXpress sequencer, but what if 
connect up to Cakewalk?
