Creighton: I started playing the DTX a little over a year ago. After 34 years of continuous playing without any joint problems, I started to get a pain in my left elbow. I suspected it was either CTS or just bruising from the sheer shock of slamming a stick on the TP snare. In February, I switched over to Pintech mesh-headed drums and the pain is all but absent. I also switched to the Zenbals and started using AHEAD aluminum drumsticks, which seem to help as well. I continue to use a TP pad for both my HiHat and Ride, but to date I have experienced no pain in the joints of my right elbow or wrist. However, these are soon to be replaced by Zenbals as well (hopefully). On a side note, what's with all us old guys playing e-drums? Aren't we supposed to purists, playing little Gretsch jazz kits and using brushes? Maybe if we did we wouldn't have all these aches and pains! Stephen
