Hey Birrchwid, The DTXpress II isn't being discontinued. It's Yamaha's whole enchilada right now, and, so far as I know, is doing great business. New product to supplement it should arrive by summer's end. I don't use a Mac, so I'll lay off the rest of your question, but I do know that the Yamaha modules and Macs are supposed to be compatible.
