Alex, I'm doing this quickly because I have to go, so forgive me if I'm too obvious or irrelevant. Hopefully, somebody else will pick up on the problem. But your utility mode settings (UT Midi Receive) are ok, right? And in the song mode you've tried drumV instead of meldy? Just making sure that channel 10 is enabled for playback in every case, that it isn't muted somewhere.
