Darren:
Ed, Vernon and UTH have passed along some good thoughts. Like Ed, I
have been playing drums for more than thirty years, and I'll pass
along this piece of information to you. I just got into e drumming
less than a year ago. I was led into this wonderful world by a friend
of mine who has a Roland kit. I'm not sure what the model is, but it
has the TD-6 module. My friend Mark is also a professional sound man
for several of the bands around town. Mark had the opportunity to
work with the DTX module of another friend of ours to help him set it
up. I was given the opportunity to play with both modules before
purchasing my DTX.
Clearly, I thought the DTX had the better sounds. To me, they sound
more like real drums and not some processed, sterile, manufactured
sound. My friend Mark, the Roland owner, now agrees.
