dtxpress and dual zone

2003-02-18 by ankoanko2003 <adehoop@biddle.nl>

Hi everybody,

I just bought a second hand Yamaha DTXpress kit (version 1). Now I'm
reading the article about dual zone and stereo pads, and it says
that the DTX has two dual zone inputs. Does the DTXpress also have
these? And if so, do you know if the DTXpress can be programmed in a
way that by hitting the rim and the head simultaneously, you get both
the rim and head sound simultaneously (the way it sounds with a
acoustic snare)? I'm asking this because if so, I'm wil try to find a
dual zone pad (by the way, do you know if the Yamaha RHD120SD is a
dual zone pad?).

I got the present DTXpress kit with an extra Yamaha stereo pad that I
use as snare. The same question about this one: is it possible to
program it in a way that by hitting the rim and the head
simultaneously, you get both the rim and head sound simultaneously
(the way it sounds with a acoustic snare)? At this moment it is
programmed in a way that you can only hear the head and rim
separately.

I could not find adequate information in the manual about both
options (maybe I did not look in the right pages).

Thanks in advance,

Anko de Hoop
