Hi Brian,

What model HH pedal do you have?  The Yamaha modules
try to sense which polarity all of the components have
when it powers up, which is why I asked the question
about having the pedal pressed when you power on the
module.  If your pedal has a polarity switch you may
want to try setting it to the other position, or also
switching it back and forth a few times to make sure
it is making good contact.  The other thing I would
suggest is swapping the cable to make sure it doesn't
have a partial short circuit somewhere.  After that,
and assuming it is an HH60 or HH80 pedal, I can't
think of what may be wrong, and would agree with Ed
that it may be time to have it checked by a
professional.  Walt
