Thanks for the suggestions guys but it happens on both user kits and yamaha kits and it happens when I switch it on and I have not got my foot on it! Also to make it more confusing I was playing the kit later and the hi hat was working properly for a good while and then later in the day I went back to it and it was back to the reverse way??
