Re: [DTXpress] DTXPRESS WITH ROLAND PADS PD-9 OR pd-7

2002-12-18 by Joe

I'm not sure about the pads themselves because I don't
know roland pads, but I can give you some info to
help. If the roland pads you're talking about are
"dual zone" pads (most roland pads are) you won't be
able to use both zones unless you plug into the "9/10"
input on your dtxpress unit. You can use them as
single pads and the will work fine, but it seems a
waste of money to pay for the pad if the dual zone
function won't in the input you're planning for it to
go into. If the pads are stereo pads (which I doubt)
then you should be able to plug them in and use them
just like the pads that come with the drum kit. Call
the drumshop you're going to get them from and find
out if the PD-7 or the PD-9s are dual zone or stereo.
There is a difference. I don't know how hey would
work on a dtxpress 2 unit however. I hope this helps.
