Your situation sounds very familiar, and I have to warn you that you are exhibiting the first symptoms of Monster E-Drum Syndrome. Anyway, there is another option to consider, beyond another DTXpress (or other brand) module, and that is a Pad to MIDI interface unit. Roland has the PM-16 and the TMC-6, and there are other brands too. These units can be used to add more inputs, using the voices from your existing DTXpress.
