Re: anyone know how to get the chick sound in the hihats?????

2002-03-21 by otacon28us

ok i guess i could have described this better (sorry) anyways what is
happening is if i'm doing some open&closed stuff on the hihat, and i
stop, and just push the pedal it will do the chick sound that acoustic
hats would do if you just pedaled the hat without striking the
cymbal, but after the initial time that it does it i can't get it to
do it again when i press the pedal again.i'm thinking it's just a
setting that may be muting it out after the first time, but i'm not
sure.now as far as any other voices being produced after the first
chick sound, there isn't any other sound that emerges.. now i can get
the foot splash sound to come from the pedal as well i just cant get
the chick sound .. my pedal isn't a yamaha pedal it's one i made for
my kit,and tried recently with a dtxtreme module ,and it worked on
it,so the extreme module having yamahas technology as well i figured
that it should work on my module as well

thanks,
