You can tune V1 a tone lower (i.e. toms) than V2 (and modify decay also) to get a more realistic sound (whem you come with a roll from piannissimo to forte). As it was said before, you can edit V1 with a ride cymbal sound and V2 with the bell of the sound, V1 with a snare sound and V2 with the rimshot (I don`t like using the dual zone to trigger rimshot. I trigger sometimes when i don\ufffdt want it). You oughta try to edit V1 with some effect (to do ghost notes) and V2 with a snare sound. I like also V1 with hi-hat closed and V2 with bassdrum sound (for the hihat pedal, so you have double bass drumming and the chick of the hihat). I supposse you know you can crossfade them, isn\ufffdt it? (you can trigger the two sounds at the same time or get V1 at low velocity and V2 and high velocity). I hope this give you some ideas.
