Kick pad problem

2001-12-11 by Rolf Baehr

You will see in the archives that I had also written in about problems with
the stock kick tower with this set. Yes, all of a sudden, it would start
missing beats, no matter how hard or soft you hit it. Finally took it back
to the drum store where I got it... they hooked it up to their set, and it
failed for them too. Got me a new one.. that one worked for a couple of
months then started doing the same thing. Took that one back, and they gave
me credit toward a different kick pad, which I absolutely LOVE... it's the
S&S Stealth ST7000. Not only has it worked flawlessly, it also is quite
small, uses a reversed beater, and so I keep my pedal connected to it, just
unplug it and the whole setup fits nicely into my gig box. It ALSO solves
all the complaints everybody has about their kick being too loud
mechanically. It's very quiet, and very comfortable to play. See more at:

Hope that helps!

Rolf
