Ah yes...the ride cymbal...

I've got the same thing where it's loud & clear when
you hit it on the Yamaha logo plastic bit (the bell
??!!). If I hit it in the middle, it's much, much
quieter. If I hit it on the edge, it's louder again.
My first thoughts were that it was the pad design but
the crash doesn't seem to suffer from the same
problems (even though it's the same pad - PCY60). The
only option is to crank up the Gain/Minimum Velocity
on the pad - but then that's only good for rock. Jazz
needs a good "sensitive" ride cymbal. Oh well, you
can't have everything.

Another thing. Yamaha - if you're listening - how
about a flash memory card system for DTXpress 2.
Something I could slot into the unit to give me extra
user kits/songs/voice upgrades etc. Good idea?
