I had very similiar problems with the USB Uno. It was driving me crazy for weeks. Read some old posts on here and bought the Yamaha UX16 USB adapter from Musician's Friend, and it worked perfect right out of the box. Midiwatch showed everything correctly that the UNO hadn't. Also, no more weird reboots and reloads of kits.
