Thanks for your response to my message. Since I wrote my email, I
received a third replacement ride cymbal (pcy150s)and it's working OK
so far. I started physically unplugging the power adaptor from the
wall socket when the drumset is not in use and haven't had pads drop
out since I started doing this. Maybe the ROM gets hot and needs to
cool down. Any thoughts on this scenario?

If these types of problems persist, I'm going to try returning the
whole thing. What a shame. When it's working, I think the set is
terrific.

Are you playing along with the inbuilt tunes?
As the module has 32 notes to play with all at once you would think that
there should be enough to go round.
Some sounds do 'layer' so this would eat into that reserve.

I've a mk3 module, and I've not had any trouble, sorry to hear you've been
unlucky.
