Hello!

Hello,

My name is Jeff and I recently bought a DTXPRESS3 standard kit. I
am like most. I played acoustic long ago, and haven't been able to
play because of neighbors etc. I bought it with a Yorkville 50w
powered wedge monitor because I didn't know any better. I've been
looking into buying something that can handle a small live venue and
garage type practicing. I'm open to any suggestions. I've searched
for the info but came up with very little. I read quite a bit on
the Behringer KX1200, and heard too many horror stories, of that
thing frying at the worst possible time. I would rather put the
$200 toward something a little more reliable. But I've already
dumped $279 into an underpowered little thing, that hopefully I can
use as a monitor live. I've contemplated buying the Yorkville 200w
amp but have found no reviews on it, and its not cheap. I was taken
back after I bought the kit; not much information out there on what
to look for in an e-drum amp. I've read some poor reviews of Roland
amps and they are very expensive. I'm really looking for something
that can be cranked up when it needs to be, sounds good, and
RELIABLE. Any of the experiences or input that anyone has would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks

Jeff
