For layering, when editing a VOICE in the DTXpress, use the Select buttons and move to the "V=1" option and change it to "V=2". You can now use the Select buttons to go back to the sound options and change the second layer voice. Use the page buttons to access the Balance and X-Fade functions, which affect which voice is louder (Balance) and which voice gets more emphasis based on how hard the trigger is hit (X-Fade). Regarding headphones, I would recommend using an inexpensive mixer matched with a headphone amp. I'm using a Behringer Eurorack UB802 with great results (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/fg=101/g=live/search/detail/base _pid/631238/) For multiple headphones, a small amp like this Rolls HA43 should work well and allow you to control the volume on each headphone (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/fg=101/g=live/search/detail/base _pid/483850/) Hope this helps - Rudy ------------- Yamaha DIY Drumset www.htmediaservices.com --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "Celtic Warrior" <o_coolaun@y...> wrote: > Hi guys, > > I have 2 questions I was hoping you caould help with: > > 1.
