That's a pretty good idea to reinforce from the tube from the inside. I 'thought' I heard before that 1.5" is a standard. Now that OGD posted a link - http://www.bananas.com/productdetail.asp/pid_3071/productname_Ultimat e-Support-12068-Standard-Tubing-Black,-1-1/2 - where I can get a 'Generic' tube (1.5") in lenths from 1 ft, up to 12 ft and they are already painted black to boot, I think I'll look into the 'single' long lenth option.
