sequencer question + freq modulation q.

sequencer question + freq modulation q.

2003-02-16 by wasabi_bukkake <tpetersen@hutchison.com.

Hi I'm really starting to get into the groove with this synth. It's
my first "real" synth and the learning curve for me has been steep,
but very rewarding.

I have a question about the seq (might be basic but I cant work it
out). How do I program in a note longer than 1 step? eg. a note that
is held for 4 steps...

4 of the same note in a row plays, well, 4 notes.

And one more... this is more a basic synth prog question... say i
want 2 oscillators playing 2 differently shaped ADSR curves routed to
frequency. I am currently routing ENV3 to OSC1 frequency and this is
giving me exactly what i want on OSC1. What can I use to modulate the
frequency of OSC2 (or any of the others for that matter) to get a
similar freq curve (but peaking slighly after the freq curve of
OSC1)? Does the MOD1 source/amt/destination allow this? If so can
someone please explain as I can't make too much sense of this
tweaking away...

Hope that little rant makes sense and thanks for any suggestions (or
a pointer to some good analog synthesis resources on the web).

any of the assignable Mod sources will allow this. if
you're not using the filter envelope for the filter,
you can adjust it's settings to the curve you want and
use it as your Mod1 source to Osc2... it sounds like
you want an envelope with a slightly slower attack for
the modulation of Osc2, so you will have to use the
filter envelope for this purpose...
