I think the files have to be in a particular format - but I'd like an answer
to this too - maybe we need a wave converter to make it work?

Re: .WAV to Evo .syx converter

2003-10-07 by ski_ex5tech

Richar, as I've previously posted to the group, and to EX5Tech, I
have a .WAV to Evolver .syx converter that I'll be sharing with
everyone (free).

Go here for details:
http://www.ex5tech.com/ex5ubb_cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?
ubb=get_topic&f=23&t=000043

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link above
onto two lines, you may need to copy/paste the link into your browser
address bar.)

The .WAV converter has long been finished (once again, I also have
128 custom waveforms in Evo .syx format I'll share with everyone).
However, I have to wait for OS 2.0 to finalize before I can finish
the PVU ("Program Visualization Utility" & librarian), which
currently only works with OS v1.0-1.1.

[Evolver] Re: PC Editor Beta

2003-10-07 by privat_joy

Hi!
Does this PC-Editor works allready with Beta-OS 1.8? How much will it
cost at the final version?
Well, i do like the gui, but in some places another font-color would
be more readable.
Thanks,
Stefan

[Evolver] Re: .WAV to Evo .syx converter

2003-10-09 by ski_ex5tech

Sorry, I thought the posts at EX5Tech were clear. My .WAV to Evolver
SysEx utility converts .WAV files (that are *exactly* 128 samples in
length) to a .syx file that you can load into your Evolver's user
waveform slots. In other words, my utility is a format converter. I
also have a simple calculator to assist you in determining the amount
of pitch shift you need to apply to your existing .WAV samples in
order to make them exactly 128 samples in length. Make sense?

If you're interested, additional technical details regarding the
specs for the Evolver's user waveform data are in the back of your
owners manual.
