Would a battery power modification be possible??

Would a battery power modification be possible??

2003-09-29 by Collin

it's been a while since I've taken part in this group.... I sold my
Evolver early this year for a Nord Modular. The Nord Modular was a
dissapointment after the Evolver and so I sold that shortly after.
Anyhow, I've been waiting for the right moment to purchase a DSI
Evolver again and I think the time is growing near now that 2.0 is in
the not too distant future.

My question to you electro engineer/tech people is, is there any
possibility to mod the evolver to run off of battery power? I mean,
of course there is, but what about with a degree of efficiency that
would make it worth while and would also fit into the original casing
of the evolver??? I should know a little about power ratings and
what not by now, but unfortunately I've not yet learned. It would be
really kick ass to be able to run one off of battery power though and
be able to recharge it also.

Cheers,

Collin

I seriously doubt you'd be able to cram anything inside the existing
case. If you're really bent on doing this, look for a rechargable
lithium ion battery capable of providing the required 13-15 volts at
500 milliamps for a reasonable amount of time.
