User Forum Soundset - Quick Progress Update

2003-04-28 by ski_ex5tech

Just a quick progress update...

In case you haven't been checking the updates at EX5Tech, we're now
up to a total of *87* patches and sequences!

That's not counting my own contributions, which might number as high
as ??? :D

Many thanks for all your contributions so far. This is really
shaping up to be a great collection!

If anyone has anyone else has some contributions, please post them
here in the "Files" section, or email them to me (ski at ex5tech dot
com) as soon as you can. Here's the link again to the thread in the
forum:

Paul, let me know if you'd like the entire forum thread posted here
again, or emailed to you.

yeah, sorry I've been unresponsive thus far, but I
will get my contributions dumped and sent to you by
Thursday. just to confirm, a standard MIDI file of
sysex dumped into a soft-sequencer is ok, yes?

Spectralab - A standard MIDI file, or any other format you want to
use is fine. I'll use a hexadecimal editor to get at the data if I
have to! ;)

If by chance you're not familiar with dumping program data from the
Evolver, check out the following topic in the EX5Tech forum:

Using MIDI-OX to Save & Load Evolver Patches
http://www.ex5tech.com/ex5ubb_cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?
ubb=get_topic&f=23&t=000013

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link above
onto two lines, you may need to copy/paste the link into your browser
address bar.)

As the title suggests, these instructions use MIDI-OX, and not a
software sequencer, and the output is a standard SysEx file rather
than a MIDI file. However, the instructions may help if you've never
done this before. BTW, MIDI-OX is a *great* general purpose MIDI
utility, and you should check it out. I find it an indispensable
tool, especially with the Evolver.

Thanks in advance for sharing your work with the rest of the
community. I look forward to hearing your sounds!

I am going to try to post about ten tonight. Most are just leads with
a twist, some " string " type things.
They might just all suck but i find them ammusing when running into a
chorus and reverb, some i just like by themselves.
Cheers
