Yes I have midi connections MPU-401 on motherboard under WinXP, I tried to send sounds using File_ex program when unit in remote mode it seems like a going process but after about half of minute I get error and sampler says something like Runtime limit out or error... Can I get DOS utility to write fzf files to floppy? thanks.

Hi rusynth,

I'm the one who uploaded the Factory and Soundwaves fzf files to the internet from my collection. I transferred the disks from FZ to PC over midi, which took ages. Out of 3 different midi interfaces I tried, only 1 worked reliability - an m-audio audiophile 2496 pci card. 1 disk takes almost 15 minutes to transfer. I think that the best solution now is to replace the real floppy drive with an HxC SD card drive and convert the fzf files to floppy images. I am preparing a bank of sounds with even more new ones currently...

Thank you for the info, I will try different midi interfaces, but 15 minutes per one disk is a too much time, so where I can find utility to place FZF files in floppy disk as image then load from disk drive? or convert FZF to images... thanks!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
