I think CR and BR batteries are the same but what do "CR" and "BR" stand for? For instance the batteries I put in my Casio VZ RA-500 is a BR-2330. I have been calling it a CR-2330 because I think they are the same.
The first letter denotes the chemistry of the battery C being Manganese Dioxide and B being Poly-Carbonmonofluoridethe simply means Round. BR are better for low drain device and the voltage tends to be stable until the end of the battery.BR are the best for memory backup.
