Casio CZ 101 Service manual

Casio CZ 101 Service manual

2010-04-08 by Baptiste

Hi,

Does anyone have a CZ 101/ 1000 service manual which includes all the calibrations, and how to repair the CZ, not just the schematics?

Because I have a faulty CZ 101. The problem is when I push down more than one key, it starts to warble and sounds very distorted. I have been advised that it may be one of the op amps, but I would rather check the calibrations before replacing it.

Thanks!

Hello Baptiste,

Did you ever come across anything? I have an old CZ-101 with similar problems, and I am looking to rehabilitate it.

Best, Udon

Hi
I'm searching too for the full service manual. Also I'm having the same problem here. i think that it has to do with the DAC offset voltage value. I measure it at about 2.5v DC. I also have checked a CZ-5000 service manual which states that the DAC offset voltage value must be around 300mV. The problem is that I can not figure out why I'm read this hi voltage value (2.5v). The VR2 trimmer doesn't do anything. Please share any additional thoughts.
Regards
Bill

Hi,
I want to add that if someone programs the internal sounds amp env maximum level at 55 value the distortion will stop when multiple keys are pressed down. Although the sound volume level will fall quite a lot.
Regards

I don't understand what "relay the" you are pointing out.

Sorry for the typo, the unusual heat is nagging on my
concentration...

relay = little electric controlled magnetic switch...

Looks like this...

So you are referring on the relay of the M4152-MA2M board. I will check right now..
Thanks a lot

Re: Casio CZ 101 Service manual

There is a resistor (2.7kohm) between the relay normally closed terminal and the outputs ground. Although I see continuity between the relays common pin and one of the resistors terminals. I guess that its right.
Any suggestions ?

Thanks
