check the 3.3v  on the ram modules to see if your getting 3.3v on all or if there is a drop in voltage

the backup battery for the motherboard rom is this ok as if this goes they tend to lose there bios

  What gets me about the bloody G5 dual 1.8mhz is that it has 8 dimm 
  sockets and I have tried every combination with ram I know is working 
  and still it doesn't boot and has the 3 flashing lights surely all 8 
  can't have f**ked up?
  Unless it is the two first ones that have to work, power supply 
  problem maybe?
