Thanks Summa! Good explanation. I've noticed the whistling effect that you mentioned in the higher registers of the synth (particularly when using ring mod). Those early machines are notorious for the aliasing effects... I'm also wondering whether the audio output on some of those older digital machines underwent a bit of low pass filtering after the DAC in attempt to combat the aliasing effect. This could perhaps be one of the reasons for the "warmer" sound that these machines are sometimes said to have when compared with current digital synths.... Adam
